ABOUT US

DHA has a number of well-reputed
and prestigious educational institutions. DHA Monressori-1 is one
of them, which is the most important one. Montessori system of education
is the key of constructing a well-balanced human being.
The Ex-Administrator DHA, Brig Ghazanfar Azam inaugurated DHA Montessori-1,
in May 1997. It is located in the area of Sea-view Township. This
building is uniquely constructed keeping in mind the entire educational
need of younger children for the years to come. |

The classrooms are spacious, airy, well lit and
well decorated. The furniture is specially designed. A healthy, colourful,
pleasing environment is set to welcome the children so that they feel
comfortable. If is fully equipped with the Montessori material. The shelves
are labeled and divided according to the material for E.P.L., Sensorial,
Language, Mathematics, General knowledge etc. The academic structure is
as follows:-
- Play Group
- Environment-I
- Environment-II
Each environment has four
sections with one Montessori directress and one helper. The maximum strength
is 340 students.
montessori institute
The
DA Montessori Institute was established in March 2001. It is the
first teachers training institute of its kind in Pakistan Defence
Housing Authority. It is affiliated with Sindh Board of Technical
Education Karachi.
The students are required to attend internship
classes of 9 weeks of duration at our Montessori or any other Montessori.
Up till now 15 batches have passed out comprising of 523 students.
Presently there are 63 students. |

The
DA Montessori Institute offers two types of courses. Certificate
course is offered for duration of 3 months and the Diploma course
for duration of 1 year. Meticulous professionalism and vigilant
guidance are the hallmarks of our courses. The students are exposed
to extensive training with particular emphasis on language, mathematics,
Sensorial, culture and E.P.I.
These courses are
taught by trained Montessori Directresses. The need of the hour
is to have trained teachers so that the students are given in the
care of professional teaching staff. |
