Defence Authority Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed High School for Boys was established in April 1988. As the building was donated by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the school was named after him. Later, the school was upgraded to Intermediate level in 1989. Initially the school and the college were both affiliated with Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad. Later in 1993 it got affiliated with Board of Secondary Education, Karachi. On the establishment of DHA Degree College for Men, intermediate classes were shifted and the school continued to function up to secondary level. In January 2001, the school was again upgraded to College level. Introduced O' Level section (Class VI Onward) at SKBZ College in 2010. Introduced Class-I Co-Education from 2014.
Since its inception the school has strived to provide quality education to its students. DA SKBZ College aims to create a harmonious balance between academic demands, sports, cultural activities and community life. It challenges its pupils to be intellectually inquisitive and socially conscious.
The college is located in the heart of Defence Housing Authority, in Phase VI on Khayaban-e-Rahat, a link road between Khayaban-e-Ittehad and Khayaban-e-Hafiz. SKBZ is one of the original and old institutions. It is an education institution par excellence. It provides education from pre-primary upto Intermediate levels. Apart from the academic curriculum due emphasis is also laid on sports, co-curricular activities and inculcating strong moral and core values.
Close contact with parents is maintained through parents teacher meetings and follow up calls to ensure regular attendance and guidance. The college has introduced O' Levels from 2010 onwards (starting from Class V, Introduced Class-I Co-Education from 2014). The institution organizes a number of co-curricular activities such as Essay competitions, Art and Craft competitions, Poster competitions, Quiz competitions, Urdu & English Debates, speech contests, Qirat and Hifz-e-Quran competitions.
The institution keeps the students engaged in healthy activities like Inter-House competitions, Inter-School competitions, visits to places of academic interest, all Pakistan tours, beach cleaning, helping in needy by raising-funds and visiting, the hospitals with eatables and flowers for the patients.
Regular visits to places of academic interest are arranged by the college. A group of students is sent on an "All Pakistan Tour" each year during summer vacations.

The registration for fresh entry starts from December each year. Admission tests and interviews are held during February and classes commence on the first working day of April.
This section consists of classes from I to V with Cambridge system. The age limit for admission to class I is 5 years+.
This section consists of classes from VI to X. Admission to these classes is subject to availability of seats and merit.
Students securing positions in Board Examinations, Inter-school competitions in games, sports, debates and declamation contests are awarded cash prizes by the Administrator DHA along with certificates of merit, cups and shields.
