Karachi, Feb 1: A charity based school in DHA Phase-VIII to provide quality education to children from adjoining slums/under privileged areas was completely revamped, equipped with modern educational tools and turned into Defence Authority High School Phase-VIII last year. The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of the School was held in school courtyard with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
The students of the school presented an impressive variety programme on the occasion showcasing their confidence, skills and talent. The fantastic performance of the students was simply spectacular which was highly appreciated by the gathering.
The programme included a tableau of welcome performance 'Rainbow Fairies', English skit 'Impact of Social Media on Students', an Urdu play 'Nani Adalat' and 'Miming Act (Sea Water)' performance which were immaculately presented and highly appreciated by the gathering.
The chief guest appreciated the superb performance of the students which she said was impressive and reassuring on all accounts. She said that the progress made by school in one year was commendable adding that it was now comparable to any modern private school of the metropolis. She also gave a cheque of Rs. 1 million to the School on behalf of DHA.
Earlier the Principal Ms Saima Naweed presented the Annual Report of the school and highlighted the achievements of its students in various academic and co-curricular activities. She said that the School provided best educational and learning environment to its students to make them useful citizens of society.
At the end the chief guest distributed prizes among the students who excelled in various curricular and co-curricular activities. Country Head of World Education Foundation Mr Yasin Haider Rizvi was also present on the occasion.
